Shift Ciphers were used for war encryption messages that needed to be sent over seas without enemies understanding these codes. This would come into play in this day and age if a company needed to send messages with confidential information that they would not want intercepted by unethical hackers looking to expose their information.

Here is one of my shift cipher programs, a shift cipher would be used to decode/encrypt a message.
